We consider wine to be a very important compliment to great food. Our owner, James Housteau, created The Short Story and his wine shop The Wine Cache as a way to share his passions about food and wine. James is involved with every aspect of the wine and food selections to ensure your experience is a memorable one.
Our Chef and staff are also deeply experienced in the pairing of food and wines and our wine list reflects this expertise. Our Executive Chef Chad Lavely honed his food and wine pairing skills with now famed wine maker Drew Neiman while at the Aubergine Private Dinner Club. The General Manager Julie Mulisano started her passion for fine wine at a Wine Spectator award winning restaurant. Julie created The Worthington Inn's wine and spirits program, managed the spirits program at The Refectory Restaurant, experimented with food and wine pairings while at Alana's Restaurant and managed the extensive wine library a Lucé.
