Our owner, James Housteau, created The Short Story and his wine shop The Wine Cache as a way to share his passions about food and wine. James is involved with every aspect of the wine and food selections to ensure your experience is a memorable one.


Our Executive Chef Robert Harrison and staff are also deeply experienced in the pairing of food and wines and our wine list reflects this expertise.

Our passion for wine runs so deep we also have a wine shop, The Wine Cache. The Wine Cache is conveniently located behind The Short Story and has over 3000 wines in stock. We have wine tastings every Thursday, a wine bar, and an expert staff who can assist you with selecting the perfect wine for your taste or occasion.
